Draw Dates:
The Early Bird Draw will be held on Wednesday, June 25, 2008 at the office of Stride Management Corp. 3950 -12 Street NE, Calgary, Alberta starting at 11 AM. Only tickets received at the Lottery Ticket Sales Centre before 11 PM Sunday, June 15, 2008 will be eligible for this draw.
The Final Draw for the remaining prizes will start on Friday, July 18, 2008 at 6 PM to 10 PM and continue on Saturday, July 19, 2008 at 9 AM until finished at the Kinsmen Children’s Hospital Home Lotto 2008 homes located at 1064 Panamount Blvd. NW, Calgary, Alberta. Only tickets received at the Lottery Ticket Sales Centre before 11 PM Monday, June 30, 2008 will be eligible for this draw.
All of the above mentioned draws are open to any member of the general public wishing to attend.
Draw Order:
The first draw will be the Early Bird prize followed by the final prizes. Final prizes will be drawn in order of the least retail value up to and including the three Grand Prizes. After each draw by numbered ticket stub, the winner will be recorded and ticket stub placed back in the drum for the next draw. Each ticket is eligible for all prizes except where they may be late for the Early Bird Draw.
All winners will be notified in writing by Stride Management Corp. detailing what they have won and where they can claim their prize(s). Also, all names, cities and winning ticket numbers of winners will be published in local newspapers the Friday following each draw, as well as on the Internet site at homelotto.com.
Prizes must be accepted as awarded, there will be no cash substitutes. All prizes must be claimed by Monday, July 20, 2009. Vacation destinations offered as prizes are subject to change at any time and may be replaced with alternate resorts and/or destinations of equal value. Where air transportation is provided, Calgary will be the point of origin for all vacation packages. Prize redemption will be subject to availability of packages at the time of booking. All prize trips must be claimed within one year from the date of their notice letter. Black out dates for trips and/or destinations supplied by Vision 2000 Alberta are as follows: Christmas, New Year, Spring Break, Reading Week, Teacher Convention, Family Day Weekend and Easter. Two months advance notice of booking required by Vision 2000 Alberta. Transfer of prizes will be permitted only if approved on vacations offered by Trek Escapes, Calgary. Some age restrictions apply.
If any prize(s) remains unclaimed for more than 1 year from the date of the draw, a request will be made to Alberta Gaming & Liquor Commission for a decision regarding the disbursement of the prizes. The committee reserves the right to substitute any prize with a prize of equal or greater value if the published prize is no longer available, with Alberta Gaming & Liquor Commission approval.
Possession date for all homes will be no later than August 18, 2008. All furniture and appliances displayed in the homes, will be the furniture and appliances awarded. With respect to the 3rd grand prize package, the winner will be given full use and granted full privileges at Coyote Creek Golf & RV Resort as afforded other property owners immediately upon notification, with legal title transfer occurring on August 18, 2008. All money to purchase Lot 32 at Coyote Creek Golf & RV Resort will be held in trust until title transfer takes place. Property condo fees of $58 per month and property taxes will be paid for by the lottery for the balance of 2008. All other costs such as power, water and sewer will be borne by the prize winner immediately upon presentation of their prize package by the Lottery Committee (anticipated to be by August 18, 2008).
The cheque for the Early Bird prize of $100,000.00 will be written within 15 days of the draw date of June 25, 2008.
Members of the Kinsmen Care Foundation are eligible to purchase tickets in the lottery. Contest guidelines prohibit the following people from purchasing tickets in the lottery: the lottery manager, the auditor of the tickets, the lottery committee, employees of Stride Management Corp. and families residing in the same household and anyone under the age of 18. The Licensee will advise all purchasers not to include the name of anyone under the age of 18 on the ticket due to the requirements of the Public Trustee Act.
In the event that a winning ticket stub lists more than one name, the Licensee will award the prize to one individual whose name appears on the stub. The Licensee and the Alberta Gaming & Liquor Commission are not responsible for resolving any disputes that may arise between the different individuals.
Retail value of the prizes is $3,348,458.80
Distribution of Tickets:
All tickets will be controlled by committee members and are only available by mail, phone, Internet, and at the Grand Prize Show Homes or outlets identified by the committee as required. Ticket Request Forms will be available at all participating sponsor locations, newspapers and other publications as may be required by the committee. Ticket Request Forms will be collected weekly, with tickets processed and mailed by the Lottery Ticket Sales Centre. Ticket Request Forms must be received at the Lottery Ticket Sales Centre to be valid.
Tickets may be purchased with cheque, money order, VISA, MasterCard, bank debit card and cash. The lottery committee’s liability is limited to the purchase price of the ticket.
If any purchased ticket has been entered for any draw, no refund will be issued.
Total number of tickets will be 18,500 single tickets at $100.00 each, 10,000 sets of 3 for $200 and 7,500 sets of 6 for $300 for a grand total of 93,500 tickets.
Only upon demonstrating extraordinary circumstances to Alberta Gaming & Liquor Commission will the Licensee make a request for draw date extension.

If you are a Previous Supporter of the Children's Hospital Home Lotto and Stride Management Corp., we thank you for your generous support. The information package you receive is based on the information we collected from your last ticket purchase from the Children's Hospital Home Lotto or from your participation in other Children's Hospital Home Lotto fundraising initiatives. The database of information used for this purpose was compiled from our previous purchase records, both on and off line, and previous donations and contains no financial information.
We do not automatically gather any additional personal information from you when you visit the website. Personal and financial information is provided voluntarily and collected and stored only if you supply it during the ticket ordering/donation process. The email address that you voluntarily supply in the process of ordering a ticket/making a donation will only be used for notification of future Children's Hospital Home Lotto fundraisers such as future Children's Hospital Home Lotto events, newsletters, for issuing tax receipts in the case of donations, providing donor recognition and so forth.
Our web server tracks and collects general information about the visits to our website.
